This section of the Trac wiki will provide the latest information regarding status of the system and updates to the system. Unfortunately updated sporadically. I will try to be better.
slate v0.4.0 Released June 7, 2007
Major look & feel update for the entire system along with an upgrade from Rails 1.1.* to 1.2.3. Big features include: activity log, role management change, new content editor, and new snippet editor. Also implemented were RESTful routes. Read all of the details on what's been fixed and added to slate.

IE 7 IS NOT Supported by slate October 20, 2006
IE 7 is currently NOT supported by Trac. We recommend users stick with Firefox when using slate.

slate Pilot Launched''' May 31, 2006
The pilot for Slate was launched on May 31, 2006. We are working with several groups to test & perfect slate. If you are interested in the system drop us a note at webservices@mail.wvu.edu. A few important notes about the launch:
- Snippets are currently missing from the pilot. We are working on cleaning up the interface to snippets and they will be added as soon as we feel they're truly usable.
- No statistics. We will not be supporting site statistics in the near future. We are planning on adding support for Google Analytics but need to finish snippets and an interface idea for showing simple statistics in the edit view. Google Analytics is by far way better then anything we can do locally here on campus for statistics.
- Internal help available. We have built a help system into Slate that is related to the help section of the wiki. To access help within the system all you need to do is click the 'Help' link in the top-right of the administrative view. It is context sensitive. We are currently missing help on the editor view of the system but it, along with a larger reference for Textile, will be added shortly.
- Possible Bug Alert. Ruby on Rails (the framework slate is developed upon) caches content. We do not know how this will affect updates to your public pages for your pilot sites. So far we have not seen any errors. If you notice that content doesn't get updated for your pages please wait an hour to see if it's a cache issue.
