Logging Into Slate
To log into Slate a user needs to be listed in Slate as either:
- a system user or
- a local user
A system user would consist of faculty members, staff members or students at West Virginia University with MasterID (aka WVU ActiveDirectory?) accounts. Every person directly affliated with the University has a MasterID account. For more information on MasterID accounts please see: http://oit.wvu.edu/masterid/
A local user would consist of someone outside the University who needs access to Slate for some reason. These are created on a needs basis. To have a local user account created please email web_services@mail.wvu.edu. Please provide the address of the site you need access to and the reason for your access. We will follow-up with the site admin to make sure you qualify for access.
