HOW-TO: Set-up Feedburner
This HOW-TO assumes that you're administrator of slate. This HOW-TO also assumes that you're trying to track statistics for the RSS feed for a blog already in production in slate.
- Go to the blog site you want to add Feedburner too
- Copy down the RSS feed address (e.g. slateinfo.blogs.wvu.edu/blog/rss)
- Go to Feedburner at http://feedburner.com
- Put the RSS feed you copied into the submit box
- Click 'Next >>'
- Set-up an account with Feedburner. Important''' Each blog will have to have it's own account so that we can limit access appropriately.
- The account username should be the site's Gmail account minus the period (e.g. wvuslateslateblog) and the password the same as the Gmail account password.
- Once the account is set-up let the end-user know that this metric is available to them.
