HOW-TO: Organize Files

Files are organized by file type using the metasets. For example, if you upload a .GIF it will put put in the Images metaset. Beyond the automatic organization via metasets you can also create sets within each metaset. You can also nest sets within other sets if needed. A file can be associated with multiple sets.

To Create a Set:

  1. Click on the Resources tab for your site
  2. Make sure you're in the metaset (e.g. Images) you want to create your set in. If you also want it to be a subset of another one make sure you've navigated properly. There is no method to reorganize sets. Tip: Sets are a dark purple when viewing Resources.
  3. Click on Create Set in the Resources toolbar
  4. Enter a name for your new set and description if you want
  5. Click the 'Create Set' button.

To Add Files to a Set:
There are actually two methods for this. The first is via an upload:

  1. Click on the Resources tab for your site
  2. Select the appropriate metaset and then set that you want to add your files to. Note: The files you upload must match the metaset type
  3. Click 'Upload files' in the Resources toolbar
  4. After uploading files all of your files should have been automatically added to the set and you should have been returned to it

The second method involves the bucket:
