HOW-TO: Compare Two Different Versions of Content

Comparing versions is helpful if you don't know what changes another user might have made to a content area. Using the comparison within slate you are given a visual diff that shows, via color, what has been deleted or added between the two versions.

  1. Get to the content editor of the content area where you would like to compare versions.
  2. On the right-hand side there are checkboxes next to the saved versions of a page. Click the two you want to compare.
  3. Once you've clicked the two checkboxes the 'Compare' button should now be clickable. Click it.
  4. Wait a moment while the visual diff is created.

You can also use the quick compare to compare the most recent draft version with the most recent published version.
